stories in the sunroom!

i’m so excited, because i recently ordered theeeee most adorable personalized put me in the story books for my little ones for their birthdays, and they are just… SO CUTE!!

reading is something we do a bunch of around here with our two tiny sweet things. i have loved reading since i was itty bitty, so it makes me happy seeing how much both of our babies love books!! i hope it’s something they can always turn to for entertainment, rather than the bombardment of screens we are all constantly drawn toward!

also, i think it’s no secret that every parent quickly forms their own opinions on the children’s books they have to read all the time. haha. i mean, you know when they hand you those books that seem like they never end? or the ones that leave you thinking, “ehh, that’s kind of a weird book.” i can’t tell you how many times we read a book once and i was like, “hm… i think i’ll just sneak that one into the goodwill pile.” but we have no shortage of books, i promise! so, i want the ones we have to be the very best ones. the ones they will always remember. the ones they will want to read to their own children one day!

the surefire way to everyone’s hearts, though… is definitely the books that you can personalize! i still have a personalized christmas book from when i was so young [about me flying to the north pole with my cat and best friend to help santa find his list! it’s a classic! :)], and now maddalena loves reading it with me. so!!! i was just delighted when put me in the story gave me a chance to personalize books with my own kiddos’ names! as i worked on the books, seeing how unbelievably adorable they are… i got so excited!! they are going to LOVE THEM!!! but shhhh… my july babies don’t know yet!!

…curious george for my baby boy, of course!! he will be thrilled!!! that boy loves george like no other.

…and a princess book for my very own sparkly princess, of course!! i cannot wait for her to see!!

this idea of a book that’s all theirs, that they’ll get to treasure their whole lives is just so special, isn’t it? iiiii am seriously so excited to give these to my little bunners.
