crepe myrtle season!

flowers, to me, are absolute proof of heaven… evidence that we don’t actually need or crave material things, because these little peeks from above provide the most joy and beauty of all. every time i get sucked into the loveliness of nature, i always know God is saying, “there’s so much more where this came from, you literally have no idea!” the best things in life are free, right? well, they’re free… until brittany decides to go to the plant store and invest in something lovely. 😉

anyway, i’d be totally lying if i said i hadn’t been pulling over the car recently to snap photos of aaaaall the beautifully blooming crepe myrtles around here this time of year!!! now, rocco keeps saying, “i need my phone so i can take a picture of WOSES!” they’re all roses to him, and i think it’s nothing short of adorable. <3 also, there’s a corner in our yard where the neighbors have huge crepe myrtles blooming and i love it. we went out there to “snap a quick photo” just the other day, but… we get distracted. 🙂

i’m in a super pink mood these days! all my moods are pink, but this one is extra pink. light pink! and very floral. so. basically, i just have to drive a little bit on the slow side so i can gaze and gawk because there is pink and white and lavender heaven blossoming everywhere and i can’t even handle it!

and YES, this top of mine is so so shamelessly on repeat because, for one… it’s amazing. two… i’m obviously prone to obsessive behavior. but also, to quote regina george, “these sweatpants are all that fits me right now.” you know what i mean! and if i can find it in the lavender shade, i will totally be snagging a third because duh. if you love something, get at least three… kids, clothes, fluffies… turns out, thaaat’s my motto!
