our tiniest prince!!

this baby boy!!
what a special weekend we had
bringing this little bunny into the open air.
he’s absolute pure magic,
and true to the meaning of his name, luca…
he is truly a tiny bringer of so much light!

we just adore you, sweet boy!!

[so. much. joy. and weight removed from my midsection. 🙂 my doctor was able to attend luca’s birth – !!!!! – which i was hoping and praying for because she wasn’t able to make my last two, and was scheduled to leave town over my due date! and if you know me… you seriously, weirdly probably know that i love this casually brilliant, caffeinated little woman. only she could have me literally laughing out a baby. i kid you not.]

[all of our babies together!!! and i love how much real life is here in these photos. maddalena has a school spirit tattoo on her cheek and rocco’s best friend, charlie, painted his nails blue. haha!! i’m in love with them all.]

i have to admit! this was maaaybe my finest birth experience yet. of course, they’ve all been wonderful in their own ways… but this one full of best case scenarios and baby magic, and i’m still just not over it. 🙂 plus, hospital room service? um, yes please!

and so began life with our third baby bunny!

as i crossed off his due date on my calendar yesterday, i felt my crazy hormones do bittersweet somersaults of gratitude and amazement… how fast it all goes by! i’m soaking up every one of these newborn days.

oh, baby luca! you are such a blessing.
