bringing home bunny

yesterday marked one week since we brought our newest little bunny man home!!

we had the warmest of welcomes, thanks to the bigger buns and my mommy. 🙂 m’s “ohhh wut you had a baby?” sign kills me! maddalena and rocco [again, thanks to my mom, haha] gave luca a gift in the hospital of a stuffed bear and bulldozer, which rocco was most excited about. also, these photos reminded so much of madd holding rocco the day we brought him home!!

the due date comes and goes!! no 40 week bump shot here. 🙂

pretty sure everyone snagged a nap or two last week… eeexcept for me. woops.

at 7:09 pm on friday, november 2nd, he was one week old. fastest week of my life! i kind of wanted to cry, but instead i had steven take an instax. 🙂

…now, everybody grab your baby!!

honestly, i’m a little sad the whole birth experience is done and behind us!! it’s been so bittersweet for me with each of our babies. there’s such a buildup of mystery and anticipation and preparation for most of a year before they’re born, you know? you revolve your whole body and life around it, while still revolving around everything else you’re supposed to be revolving around… and then, boom! it’s over! and your hormones do crazy cartwheels! and sleep is for the weak! but you aren’t weak, you just harvested a human! now keep that baby alive and thriving! do it! boobs! diapers! snuggles! go! this! is! not! a! drill!

but gosh, we are so so soooo delighted to have a sweet, cuddly, healthy “baby wooca” in our circus now… no matter hooow circusy it may get. 🙂 he is loved and adored, and i truly just want to stare at him allll daaay looong! no, really. that’s literally all i want to do.

we love you so much, luca! you are one incredible little soul and it already shows. <3

also, today is day one with steven back at work so… send coffee!! [no, really, mom… whenever you wanna bring those coffee beans over… ;)]
