one week ago, i woke up 32. 32 years of brittany! actually, i woke up to a little doggy barking to go out the back door, a cuddled up baby fussing to nurse, a 3 year old at my bedside with enthusiasm and quite the leaky situation, aaand my iphone alarm going off on my nightstand. you know, just in case the first three alert systems didn’t pull me from my coma. and i thought, well… this must be what 32 feels like!
to be honest, i’ve had so many birthdays where i’ve cried, not wanting to get older. [literally, since my teens. the passing of time always is such a struggle for me!] there have been several where i didn’t even want to bother uttering the number, because it wasn’t, like, “21.” haha. dramatic, i know. and since hitting 30, i’ve had a hard time even remembering which age i’m even turning!! i mean, i’ve never been too good with numbers, anyway. 😉
and this year! well, i’m a smidge tired, sure… but you know what? that’s okay! i’m stronger than i’ve ever been, and pretty downright thrilled to be doing every. single. thing. with my third bundle of pure, sweet goodness and delight in my arms. i absolutely cannot get enough. ♡
so, 32? lucky me.
[except, i did kinda think i was turning 31 for a little bit, but apparently i already did that! oh well!]
we celebrated the weekend before my actual birthday with a little dinner at the farm. the farm fam has grown by three people this year-ish, i might add! my siblings’ significant others, luca bunny, and a handful of dogs, while we’re at it. and that makes me happy! the more the merrier is the farmhome way…
a buttercream butterfly cake! for moi?! it was delicious and so pretty. my cute mommy is good at cakes.

aaand ps. the chateau gudanes book!! one of mine & my mom’s very favorite IG accounts to follow is this gorgeous chateau in france that is being restored by an australian family. they recently came out with a book, and that was one of my birthday gifts. it’s so beautiful!! i mean, really, i even saved the wrapping paper because it’s legitimately frameable. [it’s still wrapped in the photo!] seriously gorgeous!!
so, basically… thanks, mom. you know, for the birth and stuff! 🙂
