happy 4 months, luca bunny!

our littlest love is 4 months old as of this week!

gosh, he is yummy and squishier than ever, this baby. i literally cannot get enough of him… which is only fueled by the fact that everything feels like super light speed with this thirdborn. i swear, i don’t even want to blink, let alone sleep! [although, i can’t keep my eyes open past 9pm these days! i’ve been bad at the whole school schedule thing since i was 5 years old… so. it’s gonna be a long road. haha.]

i’m more aware than ever at how fast babies grow, and everything is truly that much more bittersweet. my days have never been so full of love and life, and to think that each of these little moments is so fleeting and temporary… well, in 20 years, you’ll sure find me with a huge glass of wine and like 35 pets.

anyway!! at 4 months old, he’s solidly [deliciously!!] in 6 month clothing. he’s taken to the whole jumparoo thing as if i’ve been holding out on him since birth. he watches his siblings and daddy mill about with the glowiest love in his eyes, just waiting for them to match his gaze so he can beam the biggest smile possible. he smiles aaaall of the time at home, but takes everything in with the most serious look of caution when we’re out and about! just like sister and brother, he loooves being worn in the wrap or carrier. doesn’t hate his carseat as much as they did, but still isn’t crazy about it. i’m pretty sure his favorite hobby is making eye contact. and gosh, he’s endlessly patient with all the fits he has to listen to, bless his soul. but! i don’t think any baby could be more adored by his sibling fan club. which so sweet. and only sometimes frightening, as love can be a bit smothering at times, now can’t it. 😉

luca bunny, you are a treasure! a warm, glowing light in the dark. the snuggliest little slice of pumpkin pie! i love everything about life with you, from the moment you open your sparkly blue eyes to the second they flutter closed, and all the breaths in between. i can’t wait to experience more of you, yet i wish so much that i could just freeze time and bottle you up right where you are! i love you. so. much. happy 4 months, baby boy!!
