just the other evening, i took the most pleasant little nature walk around farmhome with my mother dearest [well, it was a walk slash golf cart ride. a little of both], taking in all the beauty that is too wonderful for me to ever quite absorb all the way… and kind of savoring the fact that fall was actually not really in sight. i mean, i do love fall a lot, but it was nice to check in again with regular, sunshiney, warm, green, blooming farmhome nature. [also, steven & i were so busy this time last year trying to move from farmhome back into our little married, post-flood housey that we didn’t get to pay much attention to the month of september hardly at all!] it was such a beautiful evening… and my favorite is always that time of day when the sun just begins to set, giving everything that goldeny hue. gosh, i love nature. and the farm. and my mom. and my giant baby snugglebugs, of course. oh, and penny!

and then… there it was. right there on the ground. a big, red piece of fall.
and now, today… it’s officially fall!
