over the weekend, i am happy to say, we all caught up on sleep a little bit around here, wooooo! sleep is not something that i typically feel so enthusiastic about, because i prefer being awake, like, at all times… but that is actually a really terrible thing when you have-a the bambina, and i was really starting to reach a point of seriously losing my marbles after a few long nights of baby’s-not-sleeping-well that we had last week! i mean, my eyes were starting to close on their own, despite my best efforts, and i wound up with a very mysterious bruise on my knee? but other than losing a few marbles and then finding [most of] them again this weekend, weee…
…modeled a newly-discovered sequined purse like it was our job…
…brought out some cold weather gear [we had a little panda show up at our door!!]
and had a late birthday dinner for steven with his parents…
…wished our friend april the happiest of birthdays!
and naturally, played a few rounds of “wheeere’s maddalena?”
…and had a last official neighbor dinner before our bestest neighbors and friends move out of the hood, waa! we looked at photos of the last 5 years together, and steven and i joked that we counted the steps between our house and theirs, but then when we left… we really did it. 212. and when these people really aren’t 212 footsteps away from us anymore… i’ll probably have to seek therapy. but we’ve been through a whole whole lot with them, and they’re totally stuck with us for life! 😉 we love you so much, kuypers!! thanks for always being their for us and for making me pasta when everyone else is eating grownup foods and for letting us mooch one more meal off of you like we are so good at doing!
Oh my goodness aren't neighbor loves the best? Our best friends are directly next door. I'm going to go count steps. We are moving too and it breaks my heart to know they won't always be there!!! It's the saddest.
awwww neighbor friends are THE best!!! so sad they are moving but lucky yall found each other and can continue the parties wherever you both shall live! xox

oh goodness. that picture of M in the little beanie is the cutest!!! frame-worthy, for sure. Also, yay for such good neighbors, but boo for losing them!! 🙁 annnnd I am the same way- I much prefer being awake. I guess soon enough I'll care more about my sleep 😉
