life of charmings

love, family, happiness

November 8, 2013 in farmhome· happiness· the little things

the art of golf carting!

this may seem a bit silly, but the little white golf cart we drive around in at the farm has been a staple part of our family since my early teens. i mean, if a golf cart can be an actual family member, i think we’re pretty much there!

that golfy friend of ours has really seen it all by now. we used to drive it through the neighborhoods around the farm, get it stuck in the mud, pile friends in the back, nearly flip it sideways [thank goodness we haven’t!], drive to the top of a hill and put it in neutral to zoom back down, and maybe run out of gas somewhere inconvenient. i mean, steven and i started dating on that golf cart! so, it’s funny to me to see how these little drives have evolved over the years. and i feel like they’ve been particularly amusing lately!

currently, my mom’s horse and my horse are both on daily medicine, so i try to help out as often as i can with that, which always leads to a cute little golf cart full of happy riders. and so, a few weekends back when i was farmsitting, steven and i went out to take care of the horses one afternoon, and i really couldn’t help but be entertained at our cart full.

[i mean, it’s possible that i am way too easily delighted by these things!]

hey, i kind of think we’ve got the art of golf carting nailed down! 😉
and ps. golfy has a green brother now, which is way crazy! and what’s even crazier is that no one’s tried to race them yet i don’t think? nancy, clear my schedule and get my brother on the line! [pretend i have an assistant named  nancy.]

Oh I share a gold cart love with you, too! My parents live in a quaint little island neighborhood and everyone hops house to house by golf cart, it's too funny! So, we've put some miles on ours too 🙂 So sweet of you to help with the horsies, hope they are on the mend!
Also, cutest handwriting in that first pic! Is it your own?
