we started playing with a new little banana cookie recipe i found a few days ago [it’s a good one!!]… and baking with madd and rocco, both, sure reminded me so much of when i started letting a baby maddalena help me in the kitchen!! his tiny little boy hands reaching, exploring new textures… oh, honestly, i want to eat him right up! and i love love love the ages they both are right now. they’re so interested in life, and it just makes you want to experience everything with them and watch their sweet faces!
these winter months always seem to mean a bit more baking, i feel like! i love baking. husband wishes i loved cooking more. but no matter what i do in the kitchen, i’m constantly trying to take a healthier approach. i desperately want my babies to remain as BPA, GMO, teflon, fluoride, aluminum, mercury, lead, pesticide, antibiotic, aaand-so-on free as possible… ha! but holy cow, it’s tough isn’t it? i’m trying!
still, i want it to be fun and yummy so the years go by with some good, warm kitchen memories for everybody. i’m all like, poooouuuur some *organic coconut* sugar oooon meeeee. 😉 and today, since i’m fresh outta larabars [serious addiction problem] i’m thiiiinking of whipping out some banana oat bites asap!
but first… a nap for my little baker bebe rocco!

So good to have them helping in the kitchen. For a zillion reasons. And I mean I personally prefer baking to cooking myself. It's just yummier. 🙂
Couldn't agree more! Baking > cooking even if my waistline doesn't agree with me sometimes ? But hey, the husbands can do the cooking right? Grilling is cooking and grilling is all manly man stuff thus cooking =manly man stuff?
yes aaaamen to that!! 😉 steven grilled our burgers in below freezing weather last night, ha! i mean, if you want meat, it's so much easier and tastier that way!
