[my mom got this gorgeous print of her favorite hymn by jake weidmann as a gift from my daddy. and sidenote: if you haven’t seen his instagram account… just don’t look on a low self-esteem day, okay, because he is really, insanely talented!]

[there was a hilarious amount of gift idea overlap this year on all sides of our exchanges… but theeee absolute best is that my mom and sister both had these custom wine glasses painted for me of my casey boy without telling each other their plans!!! are you kidding. i freaking love the ladies of my DNA. and i’m sooo in love with these glasses! also pictured is my new bracelet made from casey’s tail!!! i thought that one was coming because we did it for my mom with her horse’s tail last year… but oh, it means the whole entire world to me. and my sweet mom even made a little one herself for madd’s tiny wrist, too!!]

[our family photos these days give me a good laugh every. single. time!]
[so then, it turned out that my sister also had a horses wine glass made for our mommy with her horse on it!! gosh. i guess i’ll just use my glasses for holding all of my tears, because these just melt me completely.]
[my most clever mother set the table with these big party poppers, which provided goodies such as paper crowns [!!!] and a tiny tape dispenser [!!!!] which naturally, i immediately traded my father for, giving him the marbles i’d acquired in my poppage… because miniatures and office supplies just both have very special places in my heart. other exciting items included a little magic puzzle thing, a tiny deck of cards, a little bitty board game, a pencil sharpener, just all sorts of tiny things. oh, and jokes! there were jokes, too. and many laughs, but not necessarily because of the jokes. haha.]
[my sister breaking in her goddess leggings, of course!! and oh, the next day, maddalena did the perfect reenactment of this, and i am still cracking up over it. :)]

[oh, and it was in the lower 70s. i tried to ignore it as long as i could, as i am secretly always hoping for a white christmas… but then we went outside and it was awfully pretty out!]

Oh the joy and magic of a Christmas Morn!!! How special is thatthag the gifts were all so similar in the subject matter! You guys know each other so well! So special! And queen Elsa is just so perfect! I'm so glad we aren't the only ones who struggle with family photos…
it was suuuuch a good christmas!!! and seriously hilarious how much overlap we had! great minds!!! 😉 and oh the family photos… now that rocco is old enough to never ever ever ever ever stop moving they are hilarious every time!
