i don’t know if there’s anyone on this planet that is happier than this boy when he wakes up to a house full of balloons! he kept saying, “mom, ha-chouu [thank you] for my BLOONS!!” “ha-chou for my dec’rations!” his gratitude lately is the sweetest thing ever.

i was laughing the other day thinking of these 3rd birthday photos in comparison to maddalena’s 3rd birthday photos!! she is soooooo maddalena and he is sooooo very, very rocco, and it’s the absolute best thing ever. i could not love them more.
rocco’s tow truck has been the love of his life ever since it arrived last week from my aunt and her fam! so, of course tow truck made an appearance. 😉 // steven made barbecue! and by made… i mean… he plopped it on the grill for about 18 hours and slept/went to work while i panicked every time he texted me to check the temperature on it. he has a monitor thing that pokes into it, and at one point an alarm started going off while he was in a meeting at work, aaand there i was frantic. haha. but it was GOOD! so good.
i love that it looks like my brother is doing some cute toast gesture here, when in reality he’s checking his cup for leaks. hahaha. you win some you lose some when you shop at the dollar tree.
sweet boy and his paw patrol filled life!!! he totally did not expect to get presents, and kept trying to hand each present to the person that it came from. i love him so much. he is genuinely a joyful, happy boy. also, we got him a little rocco-sized grill that’s just like daddy’s aaaaand it’s the cutest!
rocco recently came up with his own super hero line recently and spent a day shouting it in the pool! haha! my sister is the best [duh] and made a super rocco-inspired card for him, complete with his magical hair and his new line. super rocco is on his WAY!
baby boy’s biggest request was a “blue paw patrol ice cream cake!” i did not attempt to make an ice cream cake myself, thank goodness. just picked it up from baskin robbins and put the pups on top!!
gosh, i love him so much. these are some of my favorite little captures ever.
rocco missed out on 4th of july sparklers and such this year [since he passed out eating dinner!], so my brother brought them for his birthday!

Oh happy day! This is a day little boy’s dream of!! I believe David has that very same Rocco from HIS paw patrol birthday and well. He still sleeps with it. I love it! Such a lucky man to have such a special day!
i totally remember david’s paw patrol birthday, and i had BARELY heard of it back then!!! didn’t take long!! it’s an instant classic, right! oh, little boys. i love them so!
